National School Counseling Week 2020, “School Counselors: Helping Build Better Humans,” will be celebrated from Feb. 3–7, 2020, to focus public attention on the unique contribution of school counselors within U.S. school systems.
Hector Armas has been working in BUSD for over 30 years. He is more than just a counselor, he is a coach and mentor to generations of BUSD students. He has coached several sports, from soccer and badminton to track an cross country, where his teams have won several league championships and CIF Honors.
Sandra Torres is a product of Bassett Unified. She has come back to her alma mater to help students navigate through their high school years. She is very active on campus and is always there to help students and staff alike.
Suyapa Villalvir is in her first year at Bassett High. She has made an impact already, and students comment that she is always there to listen, help and offer us advice. We welcome Suyapa to our BHS family and hope she stays for years to come.
